If there is one state that seems to dominate modern-day society, it is stress. It has become a diagnosis in its own right due to the emergence of multiple illnesses and symptoms, such as stomach ache, chronic headaches, muscle knots and blockages, sleeping problems and insomnia, eczema and other skin reactions. Not to mention the countless physiological and psychological disorders that are caused by stress. Yet, as the founder of Espace Mom, Hubert Mauerer, says in a webinar dedicated to the subject, stress is none other than an emotional manifestation—just like anxiety, depression and any other kind of unease. In other words, if we want to be able to manage our stress, we need to learn to tame our emotions.

Changing your frame of reference

Our emotions are the source of these big issues and are closely tied to our subconscious. To get to the root of them, it is important for us to be aware of the frame of reference that defines us, says Hubert Mauerer. When we are born, we are embodied in the flesh of our own body. We develop and grow in a particular family, educational and societal environment which shapes our personality based on a clever mixture of nature and nurture. Educational patterns, such as limiting beliefs and memories, make us more or less sensitive to stress and other forms of discomfort. These will subtly be fed by our way of thinking, without us even realizing it. “Stepping outside of this frame of reference and going beyond the mental and learning to perceive our thoughts, is the only way to achieve pure perception and express our true nature“, says Hubert Mauerer. 

Living in the present

Learning to observe your thoughts, to come back to yourself and live in the present is therefore the key to wellbeing. Meditation, mindfulness and other techniques that help us refocus on ourselves and separate us from our thoughts are undeniably successful in helping to achieve this. They allow us to take a step back from life and the situation and prevent us from being overwhelmed by negative emotions and the impact that they can have on our health and wellbeing. On a practical level, they also invite us to step outside of our initial frame of reference to find out who we really are. Like a spiritual awakening that helps us find our path in life. 

Scalar energy to support our intention

While the scalar energy emitted by all of our mom® solutions help bring calm and peace, they do not do all of the work for us. As Hubert Mauerer says, “scalar energy goes where we take it”. In other words, it goes hand in hand with your intention. If your intention is to give yourself the means to prevent a negative mindset that may be holding you back and to step outside of a limiting frame of reference which may be a source of suffering, scalar energy can resonate with your intention and act in that way. It will also become your ally and spur you along on your spiritual journey, which although beautiful, will be no bed of roses.
